Phyllis Joann Hyatt Campbell, 80, Port Charlotte, Florida, formerly of Harrison County died Friday, April 21, 2023, at Shore Point in Port Charlotte, Florida.
Born in Millersburg on Sept. 13, 1942, to the late Marion and Olivia “Lillie” Belle Guy Hyatt, she was a retired nurse’s aide for Bourbon Community Hospital and was a very gifted artist and loved to sing.
Phyllis was very active in her church, where she taught Sunday school and the youth. She was the “World’s Greatest Stepmother.”
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Nicole Rae Campbell; three brothers, Tolbert Hyatt, Norman Hyatt and James Hyatt and a sister, Laura Hyatt.
She is survived her husband of 60 years, Douglas B. Campbell; two daughters, Tammy (Josh) Penalski and Teresa McCarley; two brothers, Gene Hyatt and Donald Hyatt; five grandchildren, Page (Joe) Harman, Mary Alice (Aulander) Daniels, Henry Schrader, Sarah (Josh) Hull and Eric Delaney; and eight great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, May 6, 2023, at Ware Funeral Home by Bro. Samuel Campbell with visitation at 11 a.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
